By voluntarily submitting your photo, text or video story (the “Materials”) to Higher Learning Advocates, you expressly grant the following license to Higher Learning Advocates, its licensees, successors, and assigns (collectively “Higher Learning Advocates”) and agree to the other terms below:

For consideration, the receipt and adequacy of which I acknowledge, I grant to Higher Learning Advocates the transferable, irrevocable, sublicensable, perpetual, nonexclusive and worldwide right to use the Materials for any purpose in any medium (now known or hereafter developed)in connection with Higher Learning Advocates’ mission and for related uses as Higher Learning Advocates reasonably deems appropriate, including without limitation scholarly, educational, promotional and/or commercial purposes at Higher Learning Advocates’ discretion. Such use may include, but is not limited to, editing, excerpting, copying and preparing derivative works based on the Materials, and combining them with other materials. In addition, I grant to Higher Learning Advocates the transferable, irrevocable sublicensable, perpetual, nonexclusive and worldwide right to record, reproduce, distribute, transmit, display, publish, or otherwise use my name, photograph, voice, likeness, comments (“Identity”) in any manner and medium (now known or hereafter developed), in whole or in part, individually, or in conjunction with the Materials, for any purpose. I understand that I will not receive any additional compensation or other consideration for, or have any right of approval over any use of the Materials or my Identity. I also waive any claim to any intangible rights, including (but not limited to) the rights of privacy or publicity or copyright rights, that I may hold in any tangible medium of expression incorporating the Materials and/or Identity, created and/or used by Higher Learning Advocates. I release and hold Higher Learning Advocates harmless from all claims and demands arising out of or in any way connected with the Materials or my Identity, including without limitation all claims for invasion of privacy, infringement of my publicity rights, defamation, libel, and any other personal and/or property rights. I represent that I am at least nineteen (19) years of age. The foregoing license and release will be for the benefit of and will binding upon the parties and their respective successors, heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns.

All statements that I make during the interview and/or all other materials related to the Materials will reflect my honest opinions, beliefs, and/or experiences, and any representations I make shall be true and accurate to the best of my knowledge. Higher Learning Advocates reserves the right to edit content submitted to this website or to use excerpts of submitted content.
